purple clouds rise

I somehow missed this earlier in the month in my Twitter feeds, but way back on January 6, tinywords published a haiku I had submitted. The haiku debuted here on August 17, 2010.
Tinywords is edited by the well-known poet Dylan Tweney, whose wise words I have posted here previously.
Yay, me!

skull outline
in the ice and snow –
shiver
early morning merge –
over my left shoulder
highway, full moon
early January
at least as warm
as last May
season’s first snow –
young dog usurps
straw bale shelter
near the graveyard
The Turtles are
happy together
rainy afternoon –
ducks gather
on roadside pond
warm November day –
can’t miss
with the flyswatter
