hot summer –
more rabbits
than usual

raccoon family
explores stuff on porch –
quiet otherwise

thunderstorm
just enough to make
my cat hide

the bridge
that’s been in the news –
there and back

afternoon of
activities planned –
rain

errands –
lightning forks
across the sky

new Star Wars –
souvenir popcorn tubs
abandoned
