“Shhh!”
“What’s wrong, Janie?”
“Quiet!”
Outside, a soft drone quickly grew, and the children burst through the back door, screaming.
“Turtles! Turtles!”
“I hear them now,” Frank said.
“Make sure the windows are closed,” Janie said. “I’ll check upstairs.”
