clear night sky
becomes veiled
hiding Orion

freezing fog –
treetops fade into
a low gray sky

errands –
lightning forks
across the sky

east of the city
smoke becomes the horizon
and the sky

lightning in
neighboring county
brightens my sky

blue sky –
cattle cool off
in watering hole

running errands –
full moon rises
into a pale blue sky

star-filled sky
stayed in the country
when I moved

clear blue sky –
flurry of wings
in the lilac bush

full moon
shares the sky
with lightning
